Welcome to Motzy. By using our app and services, you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

Motzy is a vehicle registration management platform that helps you track registration expirations, manage vehicle documents, and optionally assists with online registration renewals through state DMV portals.

2. Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the registered owner (or authorized representative) of any vehicles you add to Motzy. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information.

3. Renewal Agent Service

Motzy's AI renewal agent assists with filling out DMV portal forms on your behalf. By authorizing a renewal:

• You certify that you are authorized to renew the vehicle registration
• You acknowledge that Motzy acts as your agent, not as the vehicle owner
• You are responsible for verifying all information before payment
• Payment is made directly to the state DMV — Motzy does not process renewal payments
• Motzy is not responsible for DMV portal outages, errors, or delays

4. Late-Fee Protection

Motzy Plus and Pro subscribers are eligible for late-fee protection. If your registration renewal is late due to a failure in Motzy's tracking or alert system, we will reimburse documented late fees up to $50 per vehicle per year. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the late fee with evidence of the charge. This protection does not cover:

• Late renewals caused by missing or incorrect vehicle data you provided
• Renewals for which you did not have active alerts enabled
• Late fees incurred before your Motzy subscription start date
• Circumstances beyond Motzy's control (DMV system outages, postal delays)

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Motzy offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time — your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months.

6. Connected Vehicle Services

When you connect a vehicle manufacturer account (e.g., Tesla), you grant Motzy permission to read vehicle data including odometer, battery level, and VIN. You can disconnect at any time. Motzy does not send commands to your vehicle.

7. Document Upload & OCR

Documents you upload are processed by AI to extract relevant data. While we strive for accuracy, OCR may produce errors. Always verify extracted data before using it for renewals or other purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

Motzy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to: failed renewals, incorrect data extraction, missed alerts, or DMV portal errors. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Motzy in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed per our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States.
